William and Emily became interested in beekeeping when they learned about the massive die-offs of honey bees around the world. After much studying, they started their honey operation in 2014. Each year, the company has grown and expanded. Part of that growth was designing the Blue Ridge Bee Company Oxalic Acid Vaporizer.
At first, Will and Emily found themselves using harsh chemicals to treat their hives during Spring and Autumn. Oxalic Acid Vaporization caught their attention when many European beekeepers said it was hard on mites but easy of brood and bees. The vaporizers were expensive, and that’s when they decided to design their own without the price.
Blue Ridge Bee Company took another significant step in their growth in 2019 when they opened the doors to their store.
