Full disclosure: I’m a multimedia designer at Starry Eyes Media, so I may be a little biased, but I feel that we have the best design agency in WV. I personally love working at Starry Eyes: the work is fulfilling and you get to be a part of a wonderful team creating beautiful designs for clients.
Now our business is growing and so we’re growing our team too. Want to join us?
We’re looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated candidate for our Account Executive position.

Work Remotely
Have you ever wanted to stop driving to work? Of course, you have! At Starry Eyes Media, now you have the chance to work remotely. While you occasionally may want to meet face to face with a client to seal the deal, you set your own schedule, and we expect travel will only be needed 10%-15% of the time.
Work from the comfort of your own home and you’ll never have to worry about the daily commute.
Highly Collaborative, Inclusive Work Environment
According to Forbes, over half of all Americans are unhappy in their jobs. However, at Starry Eyes you’ll wake up excited to go to work, loving your colleagues, and happy to have your job. This has been one of the most positive work environments in my experience.
Research shows that diversity makes businesses more successful—which is great, because embracing diversity is also the right thing to do. We encourage applications from diverse individuals.
We also have a small team, so you’ll know everyone’s name and won’t feel like a stranger in your own company—we all collaborate well and enjoy welcoming other team members. If you like working in a small business rather than a large corporation, you’ll love working for us! You get to work one-on-one with clients and designers to help create impactful designs.
A Learning Environment
We value our employees and can offer things that other agencies don’t.
I graduated with a graphic design degree but I’ve had the opportunity to broaden my education with Starry Eyes. We have learning and enrichment opportunities where you can take certification courses in different subjects such as SEO, front-end development, and even InDesign.
This is wonderful because I get to broaden my knowledge while still getting paid.
Duties and Responsibilities
Are you the right person for the job?
The Account Executive would be responsible for generating and qualifying sales leads, presenting pitches to leads, writing contracts, and selling projects. You’ll represent the client to the agency and the agency to the client. You must also be good at both giving and taking direction and feedback: Our company culture is collaborative. You won’t be happy here if you can’t give and take feedback
It’s essential to be self-motivated and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, so you can communicate technical concepts to people without technical knowledge. Be well organized and have fantastic people skills.
Additionally, you’ll be responsible for collaborating on marketing and advertising strategies with clients, and managing client expectations. So, in terms of competencies, you’ll want to be familiar with the design process and Customer Relationship Management Software. You can’t sell what you don’t understand, and you can’t manage client expectations if you don’t know what to expect, either.
How to Apply
If you think you’re the perfect person for the Account Executive position, find out more with our job posting, and apply with a cover letter, elevator pitch, and resume.
Applications will be open until January 31, 2022.
