Are you a business owner in Princeton, WV, who’s excited to decorate your storefront this holiday season? If so, you’ll love the “Make It Sparkle, Princeton!” contest, presented by the City of Princeton’s Community Improvement Commission (CIC), featuring cash awards up to $250!
Starting November 15, 2022, CIC will accept digital contest registration forms from Princeton business owners within incorporated city limits. Registration will close on 12/15/2022 at midnight, with judging taking place on 12/22/2022.

- First place: $250
- Second place: $175
- Third place: $50
- People’s Choice: $125
People’s Choice
This year, the CIC has added a fourth category, People’s Choice! To vote for your favorite storefront, head over to the Facebook Event page for the “Make It Sparkle, Princeton!” contest, look for official posts from the City of Princeton Page in the event feed below, and “like” the photo of your favorite entries.
Voting participants are encouraged to follow this event and watch for the latest entries. The City will post entries in the event feed below until 12/15/2022. Voting for People’s Choice closes at noon on December 22, 2022. Photo “likes” will not be tallied after 12 P.M. on 12/22/2022.
Judging
The CIC will select an independent judge to review storefront designs and select first, second, and third-place winners. Judging will primarily focus on creativity, theme, execution, and attractiveness. Please note only decorations visible from the outside will be considered within the scope of this contest.
Registration
To register your storefront, complete the simple registration form found on this page. Please note a photo of your storefront is required to register for the contest. Applicants are encouraged to apply sooner than later, as you’ll receive longer exposure in the Facebook event!
